What Have Toads been doing in COVID-19

23/4/2020

With rugby still very much on the menu in 2020, the Toad's are being guided by the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union as well as the grassroots committee with Rugby Australia. We have seen numerous developments where everyone in the broader Australian community have done their bit for COVID-19, lets keep this up so we can get back to some great rugby sometime in the not too distance future.

Currently Rugby is scheduled for July 4 kick off with training to recommence on June 2, this is a dynamic date and may change subject to the broader community!

Check out what some of our Toad's have been doing to keep themselves fit and firing for when the rugby returns.

First up is head coach Greg Wright Leading the way for what we know is the only exercise required to look good in the backs.... Bench press

Next up we have Luke Zeremes, he put together an obstacle course for himself and his family!

Luke Zeremes also put this together for some Toads looking for some fitness in isolation, it was promptly taken up by 0 people in the front rowers club

It looks like Tommy J our inside centre from round 1 is trying to make some moves to the outside backs with him amping up the running!

Our very own chief in charge of Sausages and our renovations to the upstairs clubrooms Tom Nielsen put together a few wood fired pizzas

We also have Matt Kelly (Not the Noosa one nor the goal kicking one or the A grade Player), who is still kidding himself about trying to play 6 and rejoin the lineout jumping squad with a treadmill desk to burn those extra calories he consumes in refreshments.

If you wanna get around the Toad's community send us through your media! Get your Toad's kit on and get stuck in.... Rugby will be back!

Don't forget our awesome sponsors on the attached link! They are working hard in lockdown and providing vital services to the community. Remember when you support a Toads sponsor you are supporting Toad's rugby directly.
