Whats Happening at Toads Rugby
It has been a busy off season and exciting start to 2020 for Nambour Rugby Union Club. Check out all the awesome things that are happening at the club.
Training has kicked off for 2020 for the Senior Reserve Grade and Colts teams entering into the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union competitions. Under the guise of the new coaching staff the sessions have had some of the greatest attendance for January Rugby in a number of years. Training is held on Thursdays at 6:30pm for the next few weeks before extending to Tuesday sessions in March. If you are planning to play this season, now is the time to start the journey back to fitness! As always there is the Thursday session BBQ after training.
So far the team is excited to be heading to Aubigny (Toowoomba) 10's on Feb 15, there is currently limited spots available to go on this trip. So if you are keen to join get on down to training and put your name down!
The season kicks off on March 14 for the senior teams in the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union competitions.
Sign on day and Season Launch is fast approaching
Coming up on February 22nd at 3pm at the clubhouse, the club will be hosting the sign on day for all juniors and senior players. This sign on day is for all prospective Juniors in all age groups, Women's teams, Senior Colts and Senior Reserve grade. At this day there will be multiple activities for all the kids including slipnslide's, and for the adults there will be a spit BBQ and refreshments to enjoy all the amenities the Manor has to offer.
This is a great day to come down talk to coaching staff and committee members to get an idea what joining the Nambour Rugby Family is like. Bring the Kids down and get them excited about taking on Rugby as a sport!
Our new season kit will be unveiled with all the new sponsors the club has in 2020, Senior and Colts players can also enter a raffle to win their club fees for the year. You have to be at the launch to be in the draw.
